Wishing to go beyond classic cream and white hues but still have the allure and romance of a wedding, the couple went for an unconventional Pantone of deep pink. Cynthia and Abdul opted for fondness and prestige when selecting their venues as the ceremony took place at the groom's alma mater. He always said to himself when studying that when he gets married, it would be at the university chapel (dreams really do come true!!)
The Royal Holloway chapel boasted a unique seating style, ornate ceiling and walls, not to forget the iconic checkered aisles. The stunning university grounds set the perfect stage for timeless group photos before the couple headed off in a convertible Rolls Royce to their ballroom reception and traditional wedding at the 5 star hotel Fairmont Windsor Park.

AFTR TOP TIPS:

While many couples want to opt for a 3-in-1 day preferring to have everything done in one day, it comes with its own challenges. You have to be very meticulous for your on the day operations as any time delays would have a direct effect on the schedule. It comes as no surprise that an experienced planner like AFTR are a must to help you manage this. We have separate co-ordinators looking after the guests, making sure everyone knows where to be at what time. Also for vendors to oversee all production and setup behind the scenes while the rest of the wedding is taking place
The day is so busy and the schedule is stacked, so naturally the bride and groom get fatigued at certain points so our co-ordinator assigned to them keep their energy high and make sure they have everything they need. Its important to think outside the box and remain 3 steps ahead of the schedule at all times, for example: Abdul & Cynthia already had their pre-wedding shoot with their traditional outfits in their wedding venue, so that on the day guests were not left waiting and they did not need to sacrifice their precious photo memories either.
