FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

DO YOU PLAN WEDDINGS ONLY?

While the majority of our portfolio features weddings in the UK and abroad, we also plan private parties for milestone celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and kids parties. We love nothing more than an amazing party and the skills needed to plan a wedding also happen to create seriously special celebrations.

Do I need to have my venue booked before hiring a planner?

It is not necessary to have your venue booked before hiring a wedding planner. For our full planning clients, we can handle all the logistics of venue selection for you. This way, we can source the perfect one based on your preferences, style and budget. We can advise on what is good value for your investment and can avoid potential restrictions like only being able to hire venue recommended suppliers, early finish time, difficulties with production logistics, sound inhibitors and many other details that people might usually not think of at the early stage of planning.
If you do have a specific venue in mind and it is important to you, it may be beneficial to book the venue first or enquire to check that it is available for your desired date while you are searching for your planner. This will give us a clear idea of the space you will be working with and allow us to start planning the details of your wedding accordingly.

Can you plan our wedding in the UK even if we live abroad?

Absolutely, yes. We do a few of these types of weddings a year, we have now grown to love this. Zoom/email and a whatsapp group is our best-friend for this in communication with you on a daily basis. Many couples trust us so much that we even book the venue without them being in the country!

What is the difference between Wedding Planner & Decorator?

A wedding planner is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of your wedding, from start to finish. We work with you to develop a cohesive vision for your wedding (with which we brief the decorator and match the right one), create a budget, select venue + vendors, and handle logistics such as contracts, timelines, and guest lists. We also oversee the entire event, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and according to plan.

A wedding decorator is responsible for creating the visual design and ambiance of your wedding. They work with you to develop a theme or style for your wedding, and then use decor elements such as flowers, lighting, linens, and props to bring that vision to life.

While both wedding planners and decorators are involved in the aesthetic design of your wedding, their roles are distinct.  If you need help with all aspects of your wedding planning, a wedding planner is a good choice. If you have a clear vision for your wedding and just need help executing the decor, a decorator may be a better fit.

How many of your team will be present on the day?

We have 6 team members in total- the number of team members present on the event day is based on your guests count. On the day, we have a team member act as a couple coordinator, a vendor coordinator and guests coordinator. The whole team on the day work equally together to achieve the expectations and vision of the event.

DO YOU ONLY PLAN NIGERIAN WEDDINGS?

No, we plan for all cultures. You can see our portfolio and blog for FUSION weddings we have planned so far.

I want to have a multi-day wedding- is that possible?

Yes of course, a multi-day wedding is where you have your pre- wedding /rehearsal dinner the day before, followed by a relaxed morning yoga session or a game of clay shooting for the gents and an afternoon wedding ceremony and reception. The day after could be a brunch/bbq/pool party and farewells. We are seeing more of our clients opting for 3 day celebrations like this- for weddings and even birthday parties- it can be tailored and bespoke from a weekend to a week of celebrations.

DO YOU HAVE PREFERRED SUPPLIERS THAT YOU WORK WITH AND DO WE HAVE TO USE THOSE SUPPLIERS?

We work with some of the best, most brilliantly talented suppliers in the industry. This means we’re uniquely placed to recommend the people we think are going to bring your ideas to life with passion and dedication. But recommendations are all they ever are. It’s your wedding, and we’re here to facilitate your decisions. We also love working with new suppliers, especially those that have a similar style and ethos to our own.

How many weddings do you work on at any one time?

We take 15 Full planning weddings a year, this is to devote a huge amount of time and energy to you, so we book a very limited number of full plan weddings each year and space them out in a month.

I only want a small number of guests. Can you still help me?

Yes of course, we do offer planning services for intimate celebrations. Here is a London wedding we planned for 30 guests and an intimate wedding at private residence.

Do you charge extra for travel and accommodation?

Yes and no! Ultimately this depends on where you’re based, where you’re getting married, and how intensive the set-up and pack-down process is. If travel and accommodation costs are applicable, then we’ll always make you aware of this BEFORE you commit to proceeding with us.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are subject to how long we’ll be working together and which service you choose. For full plan weddings, there’s an initial 40% deposit to secure the date and our services. A 2nd payment is then due part way through the planning process, with the remaining balance payable 4 weeks prior to your wedding. For On-the-Day Coordination, payments are split on a 50% deposit and 50% balance basis.
